About Calgary

Calgary in located in the province of Alberta, which is the second province from the west-coast of the country. British Columbia (BC) and Alberta are separated by the majestic and magnificent Rocky Mountains, which are just a short drive from Calgary. Calgary is located a one-hour drive for the internationally-known town of Banff which is nestled in the mountains.

Calgary's population is roughly 1 million. There is one international airport (YYC) in the vicinity and flying into other "nearby" cities is not recommended. Driving from Edmtonon is about 3-4 hours and Vancouver is about 12 hours. Canada is a vast country with a small population.
